This election is doing many things in the minds of thinking and categorizing people. One pressure it is placing (especially on the younger generation) is how to evaluate a candidate in light of significant, moral categories? Namely, are they all the same? Do all significant moral issues (e.g., same sex marriage, abortion, global warming, war, welfare) rank equally such that a candidate is “acceptable” when he or she has more +’s than -‘s?
